Commissions

Commissions are currently OPEN.

If interested please contact me at kanejohnston5@gmail.com and read the below information.

I have a few years of experience in doing commissions for others. However, I’m only a student and I still have much to learn before I can be a professional, so please keep that in mind. I’m pretty open to drawing just about anything, within reason, but of course there are certain subject matter I’m better with.

Pricing:

Typically I charge at least the minimum wage ($11.00 CAD.), but I may charge more if a piece is exceptionally complicated or requires more expensive materials to create. While the prices vary, here’s some rough examples of what I would charge for certain things just to give you an idea:

commforjoaneThis would cost about $110. A group portrait of 5 pets done in graphite on 11×14 paper.

These would each cost about $20. A single pet portrait done in ink on 6×9 paper.

harleywatercolor

This would cost about $100-$200, depending on canvas size and type of paint (oil being more expensive). This specific one is a semi-abstraction pet portrait done in oil paint on 6×9 canvas. Frame is not included.

Anything like one of these would cost about $50-$100, depending on complexity. Scenery rendered in digital media on any canvas size. Print out is included.

These human portraits done in cartoon/anime style or semi-realism would cost about (in order from left to right) $20, $20, $40,$50.

Digitally rendered character drawings like these would cost anywhere from $40-$100 depending on complexity.

This is just a brief overview of my pricing, and if you’d like an estimate for anything else don’t hesitate to contact me.

Rules and Guidelines:

  1. Half of the payment is given to me before I finish the piece, and the other half is given after. If requested, and I recommend this, I will gladly show the client process work to make sure everything is on track.
  2. Payment is acceptable through cash, cheque, Paypal, or online banking.
  3. If the client is dissatisfied with my work near the very beginning of the process and decides they no longer wish to do business, then I will refund the first payment in full. However, if I already have a large amount of the work completed and they decide this, I will not refund the first payment. This is to pay for my time spent.

Wait Time: I’ll try to have a commission done within 1-4 weeks, depending on my current workload as I’m still in school. When a client contacts me I’ll give them a rough estimate at that time.

Thanks for reading and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
